Children have very few choices when it comes to school lunches. Although steps are being taken in the modern-day lunchroom to broaden children’s options, childhood obesity is a widespread problem.

The Square Meals project was designed to help children to choose alternating balanced and healthy meals. I created a packaging solution that encourages kids to do just that. In order to make a figure, kids will have to choose a fruit serving, a vegetable serving, and a serving of protein and grains. There are no matching combinations, (e.g. no cowboy meal) so kids are encouraged to mix and match every day to create new meals.
